Home Infusion Services
Home Infusion Therapy allows patients to receive I.V. medication and nutritional therapies without the cost or inconvenience of a lengthy hospital stay. Through a physician directed team approach, I Care will provide your intravenous therapy in the comfort of your own home.
The I Care of Arkansas team of professionals include:
Critical Care and Oncology Nurses, with decades of experience in I.V. therapy, will train the patient and/or the family members or caregivers in aseptic technique, administration procedures, catheter care, and therapeutic monitoring.
Clinical Pharmacists, with years of sterile compounding experience, will aseptically mix the patient’s intravenous medication in an ISO7 state-of-the-art laminar flow room, and clinically monitor the patient’s lab results in consultation with the attending physician and make dosing adjustments in order to optimize the clinical outcome.- The Intake Coordinator works closely with the physician and physician’s staff, the hospital case coordinator, insurance companies (private and governmental), as well as the family/caregiver, to coordinate the patient’s care and benefits.
- Clinical Nutritionists, with years of experience in nutritional support of patients that must be fed intravenously (TPN) or by tube, regularly assess the nutritional status of patients and recommend formulations to the physician in order to ensure that the patient has a successful therapeutic outcome.
- Reimbursement Specialists verify the patient’s insurance, review benefits and coverage with the patient, and bill the insurance carrier for the patient. This service relieves the patient and family from the stress, time consuming and often difficult process of getting medical bills paid.
Home Service Representatives will deliver the patients I.V. solutions, supplies and infusion equipment to the patient’s home before the next dose of medication is scheduled to be administered. Once therapy is completed, they will pick up the equipment, unused supplies and hazardous waste and dispose of waste products in accordance with EPA regulations.
